We are accepting applications for a HACCP & SQF Coordinator at our ice cream production facility located at Blakeney Drive, Truro, Nova Scotia.  This is a 14 month term position to cover a maternity leave.

 

Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, the HACCP & SQF Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the prerequisite programs according to the company standard, performing HACCP and SQF related plant inspections, documenting and follow up of any corrective action, assist in training employees in programs as required, and acts as company representative for facility audits.

 

Training/ Education/ Experience:

An undergraduate degree in Sciences and previous experience in the food industry is preferred.  Familiarity with HACCP and SQF principles and implementation considered an asset.  The successful candidate must be a self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong organizational and facilitation skills.  The coordinator requires strong analytical and conflict resolution skills, excellent communication skills, high attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
